Booking Terms
Terms may vary from property to property as individually specified, but as a general rule, the following terms will apply.
- Deposit required to secure a booking: €150.00
- Remainder of rental amount to be paid in full at least six weeks prior to arrival date.
- Refundable damage deposit €150.00 (unless otherwise specified) payable in cash on arrival and returned on checking out.
- Clean linen and towels that are provided on your arrival should be stripped from beds and placed ready for Laundry collection on your departure.
- Accommodation will be presented clean and tidy for your arrival and it is expected that it will be returned in the same clean and tidy state on your departure. Failure to do this may result in a deduction from your damage deposit to cover cleaning expenses.
- Electricity - Generally charged at unit rate (currently 12.2c per unit with ESB) or a fixed daily rate (this may vary and it is worth checking in advance for clarification)
- Heating - Oil is the most common fuel for central heating and is usually included in the rental price, but some properties do meter the oil and charge accordingly and so you would be well advised to clarify this in advance.
- Welcome pack - some of our properties do provide a pack of basic provisions to get you started on arrival at no extra charge. These provisions can include the following:
Tea, coffee, S/S milk, bread, butter, jam, bacon, eggs and cereal
- Refuse - Ireland has a pay-by-the-bag refuse system and many rural properties may not be on a council refuse collection route (you may wish to clarify this point with respect the property you have booked). Cork County Council charge €8.00 per bag presented for disposal.
In order to reduce waste, recycling centres are available where plastics, paper, glass and tins etc can be deposited free of charge (please ask where the nearest one is on your arrival)
If your holiday property has waste collection, you may use the bins provided subject to you paying €8.00 per bag on departure.
If your holiday property does not have refuse collection, you are requested to dispose of your general refuse at the nearest landfill site (the nearest one to Skibbereen is near Ballydehob some 20km distance - please ask for directions) If required, we may be able to arrange a service to relieve you of this duty subject to an additional fee.
